The closest garage to the Nyumburu Center is the Union Lane Garage
Union Lane Garage is equipped with pay stations to purchase parking in increments of 1 hour.
There are pay stations located at the pedestrian entrances/exits to the garage. You can pay for time with credit card, cash or through the Parkmobile app.
- Park in garage.
- Take note of your space number.
- Make payment.
- Optional: Add additional time later either at a pay station or by using your cell phone.
The pay stations will issue a paper receipt for your records, which you do not need to display in your vehicle.Note: Pay stations do not issue change.
GROUND TRANSPORTATION FROM REGIONAL AIRPORTS
From Reagan/National Airport (26 miles to UMD-CP):
Ride Share or Taxi fare from Reagan/National Airport to College Park is typically ~$50. There is a Metrorail line servicing College Park from National/Reagan to College Park. Take the Yellow Line to the College Park-University of Maryland stop. Metro fare is between $3-$6, depending on whether you are traveling during the peak time. A free UMD Shuttle (#104) can transport you to the Regents garage. The Nyumburu Center is 1 block from this stop.
From BWI Airport (26 miles to UMD-CP):
The Greenbelt-BWI Airport Express Line (Bus B30) is an hourly nonstop bus service from BWI to Greenbelt Metro Station. From the Greenbelt Metro station. The fare for Bus B30 is ($7.50)You can then 1. taxi, 2. Ride Share or 3. take the Metro one stop to the College Park station where you can ride the free UMD Shuttle (#104) to campus.
Also available is the BWI Taxi Service. The fare is ~$80 to College Park.
From Dulles International Airport (34 miles to UMD-CP):
There is no direct Metrorail service from Dulles to UMD. Taxi or Ride Share to/from College Park is ~$75 due to D.C. metro traffic. Please note that the fastest route is typically 1 to 1.5 hours.
AIRPORT SHUTTLE / VAN SERVICE
These companies offer 24-hr. door-to-door service to most hotels, homes, and offices in the Baltimore-Washington-Northern Virginia metro area. The fare to College Park from BWI Airport is ~$40; from National/Reagan Airport the fare is ~$40; from Dulles, ~$60.
